Working with BREAKFAST
For Architects, Designers & Art Advisors
Many of BREAKFAST's pieces are placed by an architect, interior designer, or art advisor working for a client. This page covers what you need to propose one.
Tell the studio about the space and the client. You will get a suggested piece or direction, a price range, and a deck you can forward.
What you can propose
An available work. The catalog lists pieces with sizes and prices. These suit residences, private offices, and smaller public areas.
A statement piece. Typically 6 to 20 feet, for lobbies, hotels, and headquarters. Size, materials, and finish are designed for the space.
A landmark commission. Works from 20 to more than 70 feet, engineered for the building. See kinetic art installations.
What to send the studio
The location and type of space. A plan, elevation, or photo of the wall or area. The rough size you have in mind. The budget range, if there is one. The timeline for the project.
A rough version of each is enough to start.
What you get back
A recommended piece or concept for the space. A price range. A deck with images and video you can share with your client. For commissions, renderings and technical details follow as the design develops.
Materials and fit
Pieces can be finished in marble, mirror-polished or tinted stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and custom colors. BREAKFAST works with the design team so the piece belongs to the room.
The studio provides dimensions, weight, power, and mounting details for each piece, and BREAKFAST's team handles installation on site.

Questions from design teams
- Can I get a ballpark price before involving my client?
- Yes. Send the space and rough size and the studio will reply with a range. Collector editions begin in the low five figures. Statement pieces and architectural commissions range from six figures into the millions, depending on scale and site.
- Do you have a deck I can forward?
- Yes. Ask in your inquiry and the studio will send a deck with images and video suited to your project.
- Can a piece be customized to the interior?
- Yes. Size, proportions, materials, finish, and what the piece responds to can all be designed for the space.
- What does the site need to provide?
- It depends on the piece. The studio supplies dimensions, weight, power, and mounting details early so they can go into your drawings.
- Who installs the piece?
- BREAKFAST's team installs and tunes every piece on site, and supports it afterward through remote monitoring.
- Is the work an artwork or a display?
- An artwork. BREAKFAST is the artist, and each piece is made at his studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
